Kevin Wagner became the first head coach for both male and female Lakeland College soccer and futsal teams in the summer of 2010. Since 2019 Coach Wagner’s whole responsibility has been the Men’s Soccer and Futsal Program.. 

Coach Wagner has built a Soccer program based around three Pillars of Achieving success in the classroom, and pitch with student athletes respected within our community.  

Since 2010 our Men’s Soccer and Futsal Program has developed into an accomplished program with Lakeland College under Coach Wagner’s leadership. 

Those team accomplishments include:

• Over 400 College League games coached.
• CCAA Coach of the year in 14/15.
• ACAC Coach of the Year; 10/11, 12/13, 14/15, 16/17
• Team maintained National ranking status in: 2013, 2014, 2021, 2022
• ACAC Soccer Bronze 2012/13, 2014/15
• ACAC Futsal: 2 Gold, 4 Silver, 3 bronze over 11 years of play

Before coming to Lakeland, Wagner was an assistant coach with the U of S Huskies men’s soccer team, and head coach of the Hollandia Soccer Club. 

His certifications include: 

• Canadian Soccer Association- National A License Trained
• United States Soccer Federation – National B License
• United Soccer Coaches Association  - Advanced National Diploma
• NCCP – Advanced
