Adopt a Rustler

Our student-athletes are continually challenged to succeed in the three Cs: classroom, community, and competition.

We saw tremendous success in each of these areas this past season.

Our student-athletes contributed more than 8200 hours of service to the community. Collectively they achieved a GPA of just under 3.0.

On the competition side, the 2023-24 season was the most successful season in Rustlers’ history. Women’s Volleyball won the  Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association gold medal for the second year in a row. Mixed Curling and Women’s Volleyball and Women’s Basketball won ACAC Gold, and our Women’s Hockey program won ACAC Silver. Lastly not only did we host a first class nationals women’s basketball championship but our women’s basketball won the national title at home to make it two national titles for Lakeland. On top of the team’s successes, we had numerous student-athletes receive provincial and national individual awards for their accomplishments. Our women’s basketball head coach received the award as the top women’s basketball coach in Canada and also received that national coaching excellence award across all sports.

Your gift through the Adopt-a-Rustler program will go towards the team that you designate or can be directed to the general needs of the athletics department which supports all of our 150-plus student-athletes. Success is expensive, and your support of our student-athletes is needed and greatly appreciated.
