The Rustler women's basketball team completed a weekend sweep over the Grande Prairie Regional College (GPRC) Wolves this past weekend.
On Friday night in Lloydminster the Rustlers defeated the Wolves in dominant fashion, 90-47.
Right from the tip-off the Rustlers controlled the game. In each of the first 3 quarters the Rustlers doubled the Wolves' score. At the half, the Rustlers were up 45-22.
The Rustlers would continue to dominate well into the third quarter, and in the fourth, the Wolves managed a small pushback, but it was much too late, and the Rustlers would be victorious.
The Rustlers were led by third-year forward, Bilge Topaloglu with 18 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal. Third-year guard, Jaden Cook had 17 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals in the game, and she was named player of the game.

Saturday's game was quite similar to Friday's with the Rustlers defeating the Wolves 75-47.
The Wolves started the game much stronger which perhaps surprised the Rustlers. At the end of the first quarter the Rustlers were only up by 2 points, 16-14. It didn't take long for the Rustlers to get back into their groove and by the half they were up 39-22.
The second quarter charge was led by third-year forward, Bilge Topaloglu with 8 points, 4 rebounds and 1 assist. Fifth-year forward, Brianne Hergott would add 7 points to the 23-point second quarter for the Rustlers as well as 4 rebounds.
The rest of the game was then all Rustler-controlled and they would win the game rather handily, 75-47.
Topaloglu and Hergott would be the leading sorcerers for the Rustlers by the end of the game with 18 and 17 respectively. Topaloglu would be named player of the game for her 18 points, 13 total rebounds, 1 assist and 3 blocks. Hergott also added 11 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal for the Rustlers.
Fourth-year guard, Tori Dugan had 9 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals in the game, and first-year guard, Alana Olson had 7 points and 6 rebounds.
